Here is a little applet that illustrates how RTTY appears on the screen .. It was recorded off the air and print was good until near the end. RTTY ops do not expect perfect print and repeat things they think are important. Also, the reader's brain can make sense out of something that mangled badly .. The actual RTTY rate is 60 WPM, close to what is shown here .. The CQer is Erhard in Germany and he is called by Charlie in North Carolina. I am in Maine and my antenna is pointed at Europe. RTTY ops call this "Reading the Mail" ...
